The Barricade of Dreams...

Barricades have always given me a sense of hope. When I see an area barricaded, I would anticipate something new to appear after they have been torn down. The barricades in my paintings have been put up near my place, I'll always try to catch a glimpse of what's happening inside whenever I walk pass, both out of curiosity as well as a sense of attachment. This is because they're building my utopia!! That utopia is to have direct access to an MRT station, something I've longed for since the launch of the MRT system in Singapore. It is even sweeter as the upcoming station is just behind my house, something I wasn't counting on. It only shows that dreams do come true and sometimes reality is even better.
